My husband, Ron Herzfeld, and I, Peggy Hutchison, were introduced to Labrador Retrievers by our dog, Trigger of a Sig Sauer, CGC. Trig has taught us that Labs NEED to have things to do. Not only do they need jobs, they can do an amazing number of types of work. Since we first became interested in Labs, we have participated in agility, dock diving, obedience, hunt tests and Working Certificates, and conformation, in various venues. It made perfect sense that at some time we would get involved with the local hobby breeder and field work groups in our area, the Heart of Texas Labrador Retriever Club (HOTLRC) and the Waterloo Retriever Club.

In 2005, I found the Deep Run Farms web site and fell in love with the idea of a puppy in an upcoming litter from Ch. Caer Bren Superhero, MH, and Chilly Bleak Plan B. "Sunny" became a part of our household in October that year. Sunny completed her JH in October, 2007, and her AKC confirmation title 2008.
